According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), homeowners should have their chimneys cleaned at least once a year to maintain optimal safety and efficiency. Regular inspections are equally important, as hidden dangers—such as creosote buildup, structural damage, or blockages—can pose serious risks to your home and family.
There are three levels of chimney inspections, each serving a specific purpose depending on your chimney’s condition:
Many companies falsely claim to perform Level 2 inspections while only conducting Level 1 visual checks, leaving potential hazards undetected. Choosing a certified, experienced chimney specialist ensures that you receive a proper inspection and any necessary maintenance to keep your home and family safe.
